Copia vs Local Food Marketplace
Local Food Marketplace is ordering and distribution software for farms, food hubs and CSAs, priced by plan with yearly rates. Copia adds CSA memberships to the Shopify store you already have.
One store or two?
If you already sell on Shopify, Local Food Marketplace is a second place to sell, with its own checkout and its own customer list. Copia adds your CSA to the store you have, so members are Shopify customers alongside everyone else who buys from you.
Choose Local Food Marketplace if…
- You run a food hub, or sell with other producers
- You want a buy-down CSA, where members prepay a credit to spend
- You need traceability and lot tracking, for Organic or GAP records
- You take SNAP/EBT online
Choose Copia if…
- You already sell on Shopify and want one store, not two
- You want to pay month to month, with no launch package: Copia’s plans start at $49/mo for 50 members, plus your Shopify plan
- You want CSA members in the same Shopify customer list as everyone else who shops with you
- You want your members in the Shopify apps you already use

- 2
Set up Copia and import them
Add Copia to your Shopify store and follow the setup checklist, then upload your member file and pick the season, billing and pickup or delivery for everyone at once. Or have us do it in a setup package.
How importing works - 3
Start after your last delivery
Date your first Copia delivery after your last one in Local Food Marketplace, so no box is billed twice or missed. Copia doesn’t save cards (members pay each bill from an emailed invoice), so there are no saved cards to move.
Prices and descriptions from Local Food Marketplace’s own site (CSA page, farms page, pricing page) and Copia’s, as of October 22, 2026, using Local Food Marketplace’s lowest plan that runs a CSA and the Copia plan that costs least at your member count. Setup fees and card fees aren’t included in the monthly figures. Prices change, so check Local Food Marketplace’s pricing page before you decide.
