Adding and managing members
How to import existing members and add new ones to your CSA.
Adding a member manually
- Go to Copia → Members → Add member
- Enter their name and email — Copia will create a Shopify customer record if one doesn’t already exist
- Select their share type and pickup location
- Set their billing status (active, paused, or pending)
- Save
The member will receive a Shopify account invite so they can log in and manage their own subscription.
Importing members from a CSV
If you’re migrating from another platform:
- Go to Copia → Members → Import
- Download the CSV template
- Fill in your member data — name, email, share type, pickup location, and billing status
- Upload the file and confirm the import
Copia will match emails to existing Shopify customers and create new ones where needed.
Editing a member
Click any member in the Members list to open their record. From here you can:
- Change their share type or pickup location
- Add a note to their account
- View their billing history
- Issue a credit or mark a hold
Removing a member
To end a membership, open the member record and click End membership. Their Shopify customer record stays intact — they remain a customer of your store, just no longer an active CSA member. This means their order history and any store credits are preserved.
Member self-service
Active members can log into their Shopify account and manage their own holds, skips, and pickup location changes without contacting you. You’ll see any changes they make reflected in Copia in real time.
