Adding the signup form to your store

Put Copia's step-by-step signup form on your CSA product page so members can join on their own.

Members join your CSA from your own Shopify store. Copia adds a step-by-step signup form to your CSA product page. It walks them through picking a size, add-ons, pickup or delivery, and payment, then sends them to Shopify checkout.

Add the form to your product page

  1. In Copia → Share Types, make sure your CSA product is linked (see Share types and sizes).
  2. In Shopify, open Products → your CSA product and add the tag copia-csa.
  3. In Copia, finish the Add to your store step on the setup checklist. Pick your product and click Open Theme Editor. Copia opens the theme editor with the signup block ready to add.
  4. In the theme editor, click Add block (or Add section) and choose Copia Product Stepper.
  5. Click Save.

That’s it. Visit the product page on your store to see the form.

Tip: The theme’s own “Add to cart” button and purchase options can confuse members, since the form has its own. Hide them in the theme editor if your theme lets you.

What members see

The form has a short progress bar across the top. Depending on how you’ve set things up, members go through:

  1. Select share: choose a size. You can show a short tagline under each size (like “Feeds 1–2 people”) and a “spots remaining” badge.
  2. Add-ons: optional extras like eggs or bread. This step only appears if you’ve created add-ons.
  3. Pickup location or Home delivery: choose where to collect the box, or enter an address for delivery. Delivery addresses are checked against your delivery zones.
  4. Payment: how often to pay (each delivery, every few deliveries, or the full season upfront), and whether to pay online or in person.
  5. Review: a summary before they head to checkout.

Steps only show up when there’s a choice to make. If you offer one size and pickup only, the form is very short.

Make it look like your brand

The form uses your farm’s colours and text size from Copia → Settings → Brand colors. To change the look on just one product, open the block in the theme editor and change its colour and text-size settings there.

Trial boxes and waitlists

Each size can also offer:

  • A trial box: a single one-time box on the next delivery date, so people can try you out before committing.
  • A waitlist: once a size is full, new signups join a waitlist instead of being charged.

Both are set per size in Share types and sizes. See Waitlists and trial boxes for how each works.
