Looking for a Harvie alternative?
Harvie’s CSA software for farms shut down on December 31, 2024. If the place you moved to isn’t working out, or you’re running a customizable CSA by hand, here’s how Copia fits.
What happened to Harvie
One Harvie farm wrote that a letter from Harvie in August 2024 announced it was closing, citing fierce competition in CSA software, and that its software would shut down on December 31, 2024. The Harvie name lives on as a grocery delivery service in Pittsburgh. Member accounts didn’t carry over: one farm told members moving to its new platform, “There is no connection with your Harvie account.”
For a customizable CSA, Copia has
- Customizable boxes: members build their own box each week from the items you’ve planned, with a price on each item
- Swaps and never-includes, with any price difference billed or credited for you
- Every share size from one plan: enter a full share and the other sizes follow
- Skips, pauses and extras like eggs, up to a cutoff you set
- Pickup locations with hours, check-in at the stand or on Shopify POS, and delivery routes split between drivers

- It runs in your Shopify store: members are your Shopify customers, next to everyone else who buys from your farm.
- It’s priced by members, not sales: $49, $99 or $199/mo with 50, 150 or 400 members included, plus your Shopify plan (Basic is $39/mo).
- Members pay each bill from an emailed Shopify invoice. Copia doesn’t save cards and charge them automatically.
- The “build your box” reminder email is coming soon. Today members build their box in the portal before your cutoff.

Moving your members to Copia

Get your member list
Export it from wherever it lives now: the platform you moved to, or the spreadsheet you kept. Copia imports any CSV with an email column, and reads names, addresses and phone numbers too.

Set up Copia and import them
Add Copia to your Shopify store and follow the setup checklist, then upload your member file and pick the season, billing and pickup or delivery for everyone at once. Or have us do it in a setup package.

Start after your last delivery
Date your first Copia delivery after your last one on your current setup, so no box is billed twice or missed. Members sign in to your Shopify store to build and manage their box.
