Setting up harvest planning
Enter your box contents once and let Copia do the distribution math.
Overview
Harvest planning in Copia helps you figure out how much of each item to pull for a given pickup week. You enter what’s going into the box, Copia multiplies it by your active member count, and gives you a pull list broken down by share size.
Creating a harvest plan
- Go to Copia → Harvest → New plan
- Select the pickup week
- Add items to the box — enter the crop name and quantity per share size
- Click Generate pull list
Copia calculates the total quantities needed across all active members for each share size and location. You can export the pull list as a PDF or CSV to take to the field.
Share size quantities
If you run multiple share sizes (e.g. Small and Large), you can set different quantities per item per size. For example:
| Item | Small | Large |
|---|---|---|
| Carrots | 1 lb | 2 lbs |
| Lettuce | 1 head | 1 head |
| Tomatoes | 0.5 lb | 1 lb |
Copia uses each member’s current share type to calculate their portion.
Reusing a previous plan
If your box contents are similar week to week, you can duplicate a previous harvest plan and adjust from there.
- Go to Copia → Harvest
- Find the plan you want to copy and click Duplicate
- Update the pickup week and any quantities that changed
- Save
Printing pack lists
Once your plan is saved, you can generate a pack list for each pickup location — one page per location showing what goes into each box. This is useful for volunteers or staff doing pack day.
Go to Copia → Harvest → [plan name] → Print pack lists and select the locations you want.
Connecting to delivery
Once your harvest plan is finalized, Copia uses the pickup location assignments to build delivery routes. See Creating delivery routes for how that works.
